Mini theatre (plays) is quite popular amongst the “white-collars” in Shanghai. Shanghai Dramatic Art Center through this type of play, gained a huge following, especially among young people. But at present performances are only congregated on Fuzhou Rd and Xia He Mi Cang, places that are west of the Pudong area. The League of Contemporary Arts strives to fill the market niche of Pudong theatre, making it more convenient for young people in Pudong to enjoy modern arts near their home and office.
